- New Delhi (25.06.2026): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Thursday are as follows:-
- Nivedita Shukla Verma (IAS: 1991: UP), Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances and Department of Pensions & Pensioners Welfare, has been entrusted with additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region upon relinquishment of the charge of the post by Sanjay Jaju (IAS: 1992: TG).
- New Delhi (24.06.2026): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Wednesday are as follows:-
- Tenure of Alok Sharma (IPS: 1991: UP), Director, Special Protection Group, has been extended for a period of nine months w.e.f. 01.07.2026 i.e. up to 31.03.2027.
- Sushil Kumar Singh (IRSME: 1993), Chairperson, Deendayal Port Authority, has been entrusted with additional charge of the post of Chairperson (JS level), New Mangalore Port Authority for a period of six months w.e.f. 01.06.2026 to 30.11.2026.
- Dr Binoy George (IFS: 2006), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
- Anupam Prasad has been empanelled for promotion to the post of Chairman, Central Water Commission, for the panel year 2026.
- New Delhi (24.06.2026): Gurkaran Singh Bains (IRS-C&IT: 2006) has been appointed to a long-term foreign assignment as Director of Customs within the Customs Department of the Mauritius Revenue Authority in Port Louis, Mauritius. The contract-based appointment is slated for a tenure of three years.

- Sanjay Jaju (IAS: 1992: TG), Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.
- Tenure of Shyam Jagannathan (IAS: 1997: AM), Director General (Shipping), Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India, has been extended for a period of two years beyond 01.06.2026 i.e. up to 01.06.2028.
- Prem Chand (YOA: 2011), presently posted in the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Cabo Verde.
- Muanpuii Saiawi (IFS: 2005), presently High Commissioner of India to New Zealand, has been concurrently accredited as the next High Commissioner of India to the Independent State of Samoa, with residence in Wellington.
- Saurabh Kumar (IAS: 2009: CG) has been empanelled for holding the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent at the Centre.
Foreign deputation tenure of Debjani Chakrabarti (IAS: 2002: OD) as Minister (Economic & Commerce) in the Embassy of India, Tokyo, Japan has been extended for a period of Eight Months beyond 28.08.2026.
Gurkaran Singh Bains (IRS C&IT:2006) has been appointed as Director of Customs, Customs Department in Revenue Authority, Port Louis, Mauritius on a three years fixed-term performance whichever contract basis.

New Delhi (22.06.2026): In a minor reshuffle, three AGMUT cadre IPS officers have been entrusted with new assignments which included appointment of a new DGP of Ladakh. The names and new postings of these officers are as follows:
- Anand Jain (IPS: 1999: AGMUT) has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of the Union Territory of Ladakh by transferring him from Jammu and Kashmir.
- Mandeep Singh Randhawa (IPS: 2006: AGMUT) has been posted to Mizoram after being repatriated to the cadre.
- Aslam Khan (IPS: 2007: AGMUT) has been transferred from Delhi to Arunachal Pradesh.

New Delhi (22.06.2026): Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on June 22, 2026 appointed Anand Jain (IPS: 1999: AGMUT) as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of the Union Territory of Ladakh by transferring him from Jammu and Kashmir.
He succeeded K K Sharma (IPS: 2012: AGMUT) who was given additional charge after Mukesh Singh (IPS: 1996: AGMUT) was moved to Manipur as the DGP of the state. Jain was serving as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Armed Police, Jammu and Kashmir.

- New Delhi (22.06.2026): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has re-appointed senior Supreme Court advocate Tushar Mehta as the Solicitor General (SG) of India for a further term of three years from July 1, 2026.Mehta will continue as the Union Government's second-highest law officer and is expected to complete eleven years as SG by the end of this extended tenure. Mehta assumed the SG office in 2018 and has already completed eight years in the role, making him one of the longest-serving SG in India's judicial history.The ACC also re-appointed three Additional Solicitor Generals (ASGs) -- Suryaprakash V Raju, N Venkataraman, Aishwarya Bhati, for a further term of three years with effect from June 30, 2026 while two ASGs -- Vikramji Banerjee and K M Nataraj -- for a further term of three years with effect from July 01, 2026.Chetan Sharma has been re-appointed as ASG for High Court of Delhi for a further term of six months with effect from July 01, 2026.ALSO READ
