George Kurian Resigns; Ravneet Singh Bittu To Follow Suit

New Delhi (23.06.2026): Union minister George Kurian has resigned from the Union cabinet after his tenure as member Rajya Sabha ended. The other name who is likely to follow suit is Ravneet Singh Bittu. Kurian and Bittu were not nominated for the June 18 Rajya Sabha elections. It became clear only then that they would have to resign as ministers when they were left out of the fresh nominations for the Rajya Sabha. Both these leaders are now expected to work in their respective states to strengthen the party.
