has been extended for a period of three months beyond 16.02.2020. Presently, he
is Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
The Namo administration on Wednesday appointed Vikas Swarup (IFS:1986) as Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA)
Further, Sanjay Bhattacharyya (IFS:1987), Ambassador in Turkey, was appointed as Secretary (CPV & OIA) in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
The NaMo administration on Tuesday extended the tenure in service of Ashutosh
Sharma as Secretary, Department of Science & Technology till his retirement
i.e. 31.08.2021. His tenure of appointment was supposed to end on 08.01.2020.
Bhabesh Sarmah, Joint Director (Interpretation) Lok Sabha
Secretariat, was on Tuesday appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to
Rameshwar Teli, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries. Sarmah
will serve as OSD for a period of four years at Deputy Secretary level in the
Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
Ravi Shankar (IDSE:1998) was on Tuesday prematurely
repatriated to avail benefit of promotion in his cadre. Presently he is working
as Joint Director (Director level) Union Public Service Commission.
The NaMo administration on Tuesday assigned the additional
charge of the post of Chairperson, National Authority Chemical Weapons
Convention (NACWC) Cabinet Secretariat to Rajesh Bhushan (IAS:1987:BH). Presently,
he is Secretary (Coordination) Cabinet Secretariat.
