on June 22, 2026 appointed Anand Jain (IPS: 1999: AGMUT) as the new Director General of
Police (DGP) of the Union Territory of Ladakh by transferring him from Jammu and Kashmir. He succeeded K K Sharma (IPS: 2012: AGMUT) who was given additional charge after
Mukesh Singh (IPS: 1996: AGMUT) was moved to Manipur as the DGP of the state. Jain was serving as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP),
