New Delhi (19.06.2026): Buoyant BJP after its electoral successes in various states is unfazed about any pressure from the allies. Testimony to the fact is that the party bluntly said no to Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Jayant Choudhary’s demand of 35 seats in the forthcoming Assembly elections in UP making it clear to him that with two Lok Sabha seats, he doesn’t deserve more than 10-15 seats. The party is working on every seat and assessing the candidature on them. Moreover, the BJP also knows it well that it gets enough Jat votes of its own.
