Hyderabad (25.06.2026): Telangana Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao (IAS: 1991: TG) is likely to be appointed as the new head of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL). It is learnt that the decision in this regard has already been taken as Rao is superannuating this month end.Rao had succeeded Somesh Kumar as the CS in 2023 while he is likely to be succeeded by Sanjay Jaju (IAS: 1992: TG). Jaju, who was on central deputation, repatriated to his home cadre on June 23, 2026.
