A change in the government approach to several issues in Parliament has become apparent. Unlike M Venkaiah Naidu, who as Parliamentary Affairs Minister, frequently targeted the Congress and the Gandhis, his successor Ananth Kumar has taken care not to burn bridges with the Opposition. It seems the treasury benches are now focused on cooperation with the opposition rather than contesting. For instance, the Enemy Property Bill was listed on the first day, but sensing the Opposition's mood, the government deferred the move.
