New Delhi (21.04.2026): Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bit Mapper Integration Technologies Pvt Ltd (BMIT) to collaborate on the design, development and manufacturing of advanced electronic modules and systems for defence and aerospace applications.
The MoU was signed in Bangalore on April 21, 2026.
Focus on Critical Defence Technologies
The partnership will target key technology areas including:
- Electronic Warfare (EW)
- Naval radar systems
- Drone and unmanned technologies
- Advanced electronic modules and subsystems
The collaboration aims to strengthen indigenous design and production capabilities in advanced defence technology domains.
Leadership Presence at MoU Exchange
The agreement was exchanged between Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of BEL, and Amit Mahajan, CEO of BMIT. The ceremony was attended by Vivek Joshi, Vice President (Airborne Solutions), BMIT; Mahesh Pore, Business Development Manager, BMIT; and Ruchi Pant, General Manager (Strategic Planning), BEL.
Expanding Indigenous Capabilities
BEL, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, is a leader in defence and strategic electronics with a portfolio of more than 600 products across radars, communication systems, avionics, electronic warfare, and homeland security.
The collaboration with BMIT is expected to accelerate innovation, enhance domestic manufacturing, and contribute to India’s self-reliance in critical defence technologies.
