New Delhi (03.07.2026): In an abrupt move, sending ripples through the central bureaucracy, the New Delhi establishment dismantled the core secretarial team of Union Cabinet Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, executing a series of abrupt terminations and repatriations.
As per the official orders issued on July 2, the government has terminated the services of Ayush Saran, Additional Private Secretary (APS) to the Minister, with immediate effect. No specific reasons were cited for the sudden dismissal.
If some sources are to be believed, Amar Singh (IRS IT: 2010), who was serving as the Private Secretary (PS) to the Union Minister ,is reported to have been abruptly repatriated to his parent cadre, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), cited strictly on "administrative grounds".
The purge concluded with Shailesh Kumar Singh (CSS), serving as another Additional Private Secretary in the same office. He was "prematurely repatriated" to his parent cadre with "extended cooling-off" clause.
