Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that 1988 batch IAS officer of UP cadre Manoj Kumar Singh is all set to repatriate to the parent cadre (Govt of UP). Currently, he is posted in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change as Jt Secretary. Coincidentally, he gave his consent against repatriation days before the Additional Secretary empanelment was issued on June 14 by the NaMo administration. It is learnt that the Yogi Govt wanted him to repatriate and so he accepted the proposal to return to his state cadre. Power corridors are agog that he might have sensed his non-empanelment. However, this viewpoint does not hold water because like most of the officers, he, too, was totally unaware whether he was being empanelled as AS in Govt of India or not.
