The Public Enterprise Selection Board on Friday selected Rakesh Kumar for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLC India Ltd). Currently he serves as Director (Finance), NLC India Limited.
RINL's current CMD, S K Acharya's retirement is due on July 31, 2018.
Kumar has been its Director of Finance since May 23, 2012.
Earlier he serves as Director (Finance) at Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL). and also held various positions at GAIL (India) Limited. He has rich and varied experience of three decades in the sectors of Oil & Natural Gas, Coal, Power, Renewable Energy and Regulatory affairs.
Altogether three candidates had appeared for selection interview namely; Rakesh Kumar (Director, Finance, NLC India Limited); R Vikraman (Director, HR, NLC India Limited) and Pradip Kumar Satpathy (Director, P&P, NMDC Ltd).
