Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that as many as 28 officers from seven different railway services are expected to be empanelled for GM-level posts. Reportedly, 26 names have been recommended and two or three more officers may also be considered for empanelment in addition. A maximum of nine officers from Indian Railway Services of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) cadre and only one from Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS) are expected for empanelment. The list includes 18 officers from 1983 batch and 08 from 1984 batch.
