The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet curtailed the tenure of Hanish Yadav (a private person) w.e.f 20 March 2018. Yadav served as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister for Commerce & Industry.
Hanish had been with Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu as OSD since Oct 2015. Later he was appointed his OSD in Ministry of Commerce & Industry after Prabhu had offered to step down after successive railway accidents in September 2017.
