New Delhi (15.09.2023): Rahul Navin (IRS: 1993) has been appointed as interim Director of Enforcement Directorate replacing Sanjay Kumar Mishra (IRS IT: 1984). It was the last day today for Mishra as ED chief after court denied any further extension to him. In addition to his role as Special Director, he also serves as the Chief Vigilance Officer of the ED headquarters. Mishra was initially appointed as the ED director for a two-year tenure ending in November 2020. Later, he was granted a one-year extension, which was challenged in the top court. The Supreme Court later extended Mishra’s tenure till September 15.
