New Delhi (15.09.2023): As Indianmandarins had reported early morning today (CLICK TO READ) a 1993 batch IRS (IT) officer Rahul Navin was appointed as officiating Director of ED upon completion of extended tenure of Sanjay Kumar Mishra (IRS IT: 1984). Navin is considered one of the choicest officer of the erstwhile Chief S K Mishra.
Currently, Navin is Special Director (HQ) in the Directorate of Enforcement. Navin has authored a book titled “Information Exchange & Tax Transparency: Tackling Global Tax Evasion and Avoidance”.
Mishra served as ED Chief for over 4 years and 10 months. Mishra was considered almost indispensable for the New Delhi establishment so much so that the CVC Act was amended to ensure exceptionally long tenure of Mishra.
