New Delhi (15.09.2023): If sources are to be believed Sanjay Kumar Mishra (IRS IT: 1984), bound by the Supreme Court directives, is all set to hang boots today but in all likelihood he may continue his journey in a premiere investigation agency albeit in a different way.
It is believed that the Centre may place Mishra suitably in the Central Economic Intelligence Bureau (CEIB) which functions as a liaison between investigating and intelligence agencies like Intelligence Bureau, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and others.
CEIB, an Indian intelligence agency Carved out in 1985 under the Department of Revenue, is responsible for gathering information and monitoring the economic and financial sectors for economic offences and warfare.
Further, amid the ongoing process to find Mishra’s successor Rahul Naveen (IRS IT: 1993), the incumbent Special Director, ED, is considered among the most prospective candidates for succeeding Mishra.
