Finally, Satish Chandra (IAS:1986:AP) is empanelled as an Additional Secretary in the Govt of India. Currently, he serves as a Principal Secretary to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu and prior to this, he served at the Centre as Jt Secretary in Dept of Fertilizers.
Senior officers were puzzled when Chandra last year missed the opportunity. It was then speculated that he might have been made to pay the price for diligently doing his duty during his tenure as JS in Ministry of Fertilizers. Anyway, since Chandra has finally got what he deserved, there is no issue any longer - much less speculation.
