• New Delhi (30.11.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Wednesday are as follows:
    • Shiv Kumar (IAS: 2008: AGMUT) was appointed as Private Secretary to Nityanand Rai the Minister of State for Home Affairs for a period up to 02.12.2026.
    • PESB selected Dr Deepak Tripathi for the post of Director (Technical) in Rail India Technical and Economic Service Limited (RITES). Currently, he is working as Chief Mechanical Engineer in Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (KRCL).

    • Shubhrata Prakash (IRS IT: 2002), Director, NITI Aayog, was prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre to avail the benefit of promotion.
    • Samarendra Prakash Srivastava (ISS: 2004), Director, NITI Aayog, was prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre to avail the benefit of promotion.

  • New Delhi (26.11.2022): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved appointments of nine officers at Joint Secretary / Joint Secretary equivalent level. The list of newly appointed Joint Secretaries goes like this:
    • Solomon Arokiaraj (IAS:2000:AP) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for a tenure of five years vice Peeyush Kumar (IAS:1997:AP).
    • Manoj Kumar Sahoo (IAS:2006:UT) was appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India for an overall tenure of seven years ending  16.12.2023.

    • Dr Bappaditya Dutta (IOFS:2012) was appointed to the post of Deputy Secretary in the Office of Custodian of Enemy Property for India (CEPI), Kolkata under the Ministry of Home Affairs for a period of four years. 

  • New Delhi (24.11.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Thursday are as follows:
    • The Central Deputation tenure of Manoj Kumar Singh (IAS:2009:BH), Private Secretary to the Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy (Raj Kumar Singh), was extended for a period of one year beyond 19.12.2022 i.e. upto 19.12.2023, in relaxation of the upper limit of 5 years of working as PS/OSD in a Minister's staff or on co-terminus basis with the Minister. MK Singh counts his central deputation tenure w.e.f. 20.12.2017.
    • Rajeev Kumar (IRS:2006:IT) was appointed as Director in the Ministry of Culture for a period of five years.
    • Ms Niva Singh (IRAS:1988), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, was prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre on the grounds of availing benefits of promotion in the cadre.
    • Dr Deepak Mittal (IFS:1998) was appointed as OSD (JS-level) in Prime Minister’s Office. He will replace Rudra Gaurav Shresth (IFS:1999) as Joint Secretary after three weeks of his joining as OSD, PMO.
    • Dr Vipin Kumar (IFS:2013) was appointed as Deputy Secretary, PMO for a period of three years.

  • New Delhi (23.11.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Wednesday are as follows:
    • Ms Reena Nagar (ISS:2011) was appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Rural Development for a period of four years.
    • Abhishek Narang (IRS IT:2008) was appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Commerce & Industry (Som Prakash) in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry for a period upto 31.12.2025 (i.e. maximum admissible limit of 07 years away from cadre). Currently, he is Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.

  • New Delhi (23.11.2022): Following the reorganization of districts in Andhra Pradesh and Sikkim the Government of India announced four new aspirational districts replacing previous ones. Further, a new set of twelve Central Prabhari Officers (CPOs), including four CPOs for newly inducted districts, were also announced replacing previous ones. The list of newly appointed and replaced CPOs goes as follows:-
    1. Dheeraj Sahu (lAS:1996:UP), Joint Secretary, Department of Food & PD, has been appointed as the new CPO of Shrawasti (Uttar Pradesh).

    • With the concurrence of the Government of Odisha and Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Central Government transferred SheIke Nachiket Viswanath (IPS:2019:OD) from Odisha cadre to Andhra Pradesh cadre on the grounds of his marriage with Ms. Nidhi Meena (IAS:2019:AP).
