• New Delhi (13.05.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Friday are as follows:

    • The additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DWS) was assigned to Pankaj Kumar (lAS:1987:NL) from 16.05.2022 to 28.05.2022 during the period of absence on leave of Ms Vini Mahajan (lAS:1987:PB). Pankaj Kumar is Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.
    • The additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy was assigned to K Sanjay Murthy (lAS:1989:HP) till 22.05.2022 during the period of absence on leave of Ms Anita Karwal (lAS:1988:GJ). Murthy is Secretary, Department of Higher Education.
    • Saravanan M (IDAS:2004), Regional Director in the Staff Selection Commission (New Delhi)), was prematurely repatriated on personal grounds with the provision of "extended cooling off'.
    • Parthasarathy Bhaskar Devarakonda (lRS C&CE:2012) was appointed as Deputy Secretary in the D/o Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Delhi for a period of four years.
    • The deputation tenure of Amrit Mohan Prasad (IPS:1989:OR), presently working as  ADG in ITBP, was extended for a period of 9 months beyond 07.05.2022 i.e. upto 07.02.2023 (total 7 years and  9 months), in relaxation of the PS Tenure Policy.
    • PESB selected Ashok Das for the post of Director (Human Resources) in the Oil India Limited (OIL)
    • AM Kulkarni (IPS:1990:MH) was appointed as ADG, National  Investigation Agency (NIA) for a period of one year.
    • Prem Prakash (IOFS:1998) was appointed as CVO, Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVNL), Shimla under the Ministry of Power for an initial period of 3 years.
    • Shiv Pal Singh (IFS:1997:UP) was appointed as CVO, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), Delhi for an initial period of 3 years.
    • Ms Pratima Gupta (IOFS:1992) was appointed as CVO, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), Delhi for an initial period of three years.
    • Chandramani Sharma (ISS:1993) was appointed as CVO, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. (RCIL), Delhi for an initial period of 3 years.
    • Bharatula Vishwanath (IRSS:1996) was appointed as CVO, National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (NMDC), Hyderabad for a period upto 02.08.2025 (combined deputation tenure of 7 years).
    • Guru Prakash (IRSE Civil:1997) was appointed as CVO, HMT Limited, Bengaluru for an initial period of 3 years.
    • Shyam Kumar Verma (IRSSE:1994) was appointed as CVO, Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), Delhi for an initial period of 3 years.

  • New Delhi (13.05.2022): In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Centre on Friday Modi cleared the appointment of 23 officers to the post of Joint Secretary in various ministries and departments as follows:
    1. Susanta Kumar Purohit (IRSEE:1996) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals for a tenure of five years vice Samir K Biswas (IAS:1990:MH).
    2. Rohit Kumar (IAS:1997:RJ) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, for an overall tenure of five years up to 24.09.2023. The tenure would be extended for additional two years up to 24.09.2025 vice Sandeep Sarkar (IDAS:1995) by upgrading a vacant post of Director initially for two years.
    3. Mukesh Kumar Meshram (IAS:1995:UP) was appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture for a tenure of five years. He replaces Madnesh K Mishra (IRS-IT:1990).
    4. Pankaj Kumar Bansal (IAS:1997:TN) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, for a tenure of five years with additional charge of the post of Managing Director, National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC).
    5. Ms Anita Shah Akella (IA&AS:1996) was  appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, for a tenure of five years. She will replace Venkata Ramana Murty Kompella (IDAS:1991).
    6. Eddie Lairinliana Khawlhring (ICAS:1995) was appointed as Additional Financial Adviser & Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence (Finance), for a tenure of five years. He replaces Nazli Jafri Shayin (IA&AS:1999).
    7. Rajeev Prakash (IP&TA&FS:1995) was appointed, Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production for a tenure of five years vice Sanjay Jaju (IAS:1992:AP).
    8. Angshuman Dey (IFoS:1997:TR) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER), for a tenure of five years.
    9. Sushil Pal (ICAS:1999) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology for a tenure of five years vice Saurabh Gaur (IAS:2002:AP).
    10. Ms Aneeta C Meshram (IAS:1996:UP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, for a tenure of five years. She replaces Dharam Pal (IAS:1988:UP).
    11. Dheeraj Sahu (IAS:1996:UP) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Warehousing Development & Regulatory Authority (WDRA), Department of Food & Public Distribution, for a tenure of five years vice TK Manojkumar (IAS:1987:KL).
    12. BC Joshi (IOFS:1992) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, for a combined tenure of seven years up to 10.01.2025. 
    13. Sanjeev Sehgal (IRSEE:1997) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, for a tenure of five years.
    14. KR Vaidheeswaran (CSS) was appointed as Joint Secretary & CEO, National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation & Multiple Disabilities, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, for a tenure up to his superannuation on 31.12.2025. He replaces NK Sundaray (IAS:1987:OR).
    15. Senthil Rajan Chokkalingam has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting for a tenure of five years vice Ms TCA Kalyani (ICAS:1991).
    16. Anil Kumar Chhapolia (IRPS:1998) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Military Affairs, for a tenure of five years vice Rajeev S Thakur (IAS:1995:RJ).
    17. Ms Roop Avtar Kaur (IFoS:2000:JK) was appointed as Additional Secretary, Central Information Commission (CIC) under DoPT for a combined tenure of seven years up to 01.04.2025. She will replace Ms Meena B Sharma (IDES:1992).
    18. Sushil Kumar Singh (IRSME:1993) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, for an overall tenure up to his superannuation on 31.01.2027. He replaces Satinder P Singh (IPS:1996:HP).
    19. Piyush Singh (IAS:2000:MH) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power, for a tenure of five years in place of Mritunjay Kumar Narayan (IAS:1995:UP).
    20. Naveen Kumar Shah (IFoS:2000:JK) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development for a combined tenure of seven years up to 11.06.2025 vice Rohit Kumar (IAS:1997:RJ).
    21. Sunil Kumar Verma (IRSEE:1995) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, for a tenure of five years in place of Hari Ranjan Rao (IAS:1994:MP).
    22. Himansu Badoni (IRSE:1993) (Civil) was appointed as Executive Director (Projects), National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, for a tenure of five years. He replaces Ashok Kumar Singh (IAS:1999:KL).
    23. Vijay Bhatia (IPS:1995:UP) was appointed as Joint Secretary (Personnel), Ministry of External Affairs, for a tenure of three years vice Pavan K Rai (IPS:1997:PB).
    24. Vishal Gagan (lAS:1998:OR), Joint Secretary, Department of Defence to his parent cadre.
    25. The appointment of Vivek Bhushan Sood (IRSE:1997), dated 24.03.2022, as Joint Secretary, Department of Investment & Public Asset Management (DIPAM) was cancelled.

  • New Delhi (13.05.2022): The NaMo administration on Friday effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle in Govt of India. The list of officers reshuffled is as follows:
    • Rakesh Sarwal (lAS:1988:TR) was appointed as MD, National Waqf Development Corporation Ltd. (NAWADCO) under the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Presently, he is an Additional Secretary, NITI Aayog.
    • S Gopalakrishnan (lAS:1991:TN) was appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, PMO. 
    • Pravir Pandey (IA&AS:1992), presently in the cadre, was appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor (AS&FA), Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC).
    • Ajay Tewari (IAS:1993:AM) was appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power. Presently, he is working as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
    • Vivek Kumar Dewangen (IAS:1993:MN) was appointed as CMD, Rural Electrification Limited (REC Ltd.) under the Ministry of Power in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India. He is Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power.
    • Shyam Bhagat Negi (IPS:1990:HP) was appointed as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat (SR). Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal.
    • Ms. Aditi Das Rout (ITS:1986) was appointed (In-situ) as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development (MoWCD). She is Joint Secretary, MoWCD.  
    • Kumar Anugreh Prasad Sinha (lAS:1992:PB), presently in the cadre, was appointed as Additional Secretary, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Ministry of Home Affairs.
    • Ms Manisha Sinha (lPoS:1992) was appointed (in-situ) as Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance. Presently, she is Joint Secretary, DEA.
    • Ms Vandana Kumar (IDAS:1992) was appointed (In-situ) as Additional Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE). Presently, she is Joint Secretary (MNRE). 
    • Surendra Singh (IAS:1993:JH) was appointed (in-situ) as Additional Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment
    • Rakesh Kumar Singh (IDAS:1993) was appointed (In-situ) as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs.
    • Ms Nidhi Chhibber (lAS:1994:CG) was appointed as Chairperson, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post. Presently, she is Additional Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries. 
    • Vikas Sheel (lAS:1994:CG), Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Joint Secretary in the Department as Additional Secretary. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare.
    • Alok Shekhar (IAS:1994:PB), presently in the cadre, was appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation.
    • Amar Nath (lAS:1994:UT), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, was appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances.
    • Further, Anand Mohan Bajaj (IA&AS:1990), Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) and Partha Sarthi Sensharma (IAS:1994:UP), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Culture were prematurely repatriated to the parent cadre. 

  • New Delhi (12.05.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Thursday are as follows:
    • PESB recommended Dr DK Sunil (Chief Designer, HAL) for the post of Director (Engineering and R&D), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
    • The tenure of Shri Prakash (CSS), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, was extended for a period of one year beyond 19.03.2022.  

  • New Delhi (11.05.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Wednesday are as follows:-

    • PESB selected Rajan Kanwar (Group GM, NFL) for the post of Director (Technical), National Fertilizers Limited.
    • Kushal Vashist (IPoS:1999) was prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. He is Private Secretary to the Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Labour and Employment (Bhupender Yadav).
    • The VRS of Ajai Kumar Dubey was accepted w.e.f. 13.05.2022. Presently, he is General Manager, Rail Wheel Factory, Bengaluru. 

  • New Delhi (10.05.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Tuesday are as follows:

    1. Ravi Choudhary (IPS:2016:AM) was appointed as  Superintendent of Police in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on a deputation basis for a period of five years.
    2. PESB selected Arun Kumar Singh (Group GM, RITES Limited) for the post of Director (Projects), RITES Limited
    3. Appointments of Secretary and Members of Autonomous Boards in the National Commission for  Homoeopathy (NCH) were cleared for a term of 04 years w.e.f. the date of assumption of charge of the post, or till the incumbent attains the age of 70 years.
    4. Dhruman Harshadray Nimbale (IPS:2010:PB) and Ms. Sudarvizhi (IPS:2013:PB) were appointed as Superintendent of Police in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on a deputation basis for a period of five years.
    5. The tenure of the additional charge of the post of CEO, Price Stabilization Fund Trust, under the Department of Commerce, assigned to Ms. Nidhi Mani Tripathi (lAS:2001:MN) was extended for a period of one year beyond 30.04.2022. Presently, she is Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce
    6. N Venu Gopal (IPS:1995:HP) was appointed as Joint Director in CBI for a period of five years.
    7. Ms. Supriya Patil Yadav (IPS:2004:MH) was appointed as DIG in CBI on a lateral shift basis for the remaining period of her deputation i.e. upto 17.04.2024 (8 years in total). Presently, she is working as DIG in Intelligence Bureau
    8. The deputation tenure of Anurag (IPS:1994:TR), Joint Director in CBI, was extended for a period of six more months beyond 24.01.2022 i.e. from 25.01.2022 to 24.07.2022 (6 years in total).
    9. Ram Gopal (IPS:2007:CG) was prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. Presently, he is working in CBI as SP. 
    10. P Cephas Kalyan (IPS:2011:TN) was prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. Presently, he is working in CBI as SP
    11. An Inspector General level post in National Investigation Agency (NIA) was upgraded to the level of Additional Director General for a specific period of one year.

  • New Delhi (09.05.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Tuesday are as follows:
    • PESB selected Ayush Gupta for the post of Director (Human Resources), GAIL (India) Limited. Presently, he is working as Chief General Manager, GAIL.

  • New Delhi (07.05.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Saturday are as follows:-
    Dr Niten Chandra (IAS:1990:OR) was on Saturday appointed as Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs. Dr Chandra replaces Anoop Kumar Mendiratta. Chandra may have a tenure up to October 2025 i.e. till his superannuation.
