• New Delhi (31.05.2025):  The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) recommended Asheesh Pandey and Kalyan Kumar for the post of Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Union Bank of India (UBI) and Central Bank of India, respectively. Pandey will replace A Manimekhalai, who is completing his three-year tenure next month while Kumar will succeed M V Rao after his superannuation in July.
    Pandey, at present, is executive director (ED) in Bank of Maharashtra and Kumar is serving as ED in Punjab National Bank. The appointment of Pandey and Kumar is subject to the approval of Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

  • New Delhi (30.05.2025): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Friday are as follows:
    • Jinesh Mohan (IRSS: 2014) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Biotechnology for a period of four years. 
    • Vishal Gupta (IAS: 2012: GJ) was appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister for Culture & Tourism (Gajendra Singh Shekhawat) in the Ministry of Culture for a period of five years.
    • Kumar Rao (IAS: 2011: KN) was appointed as Secretary, Coffee Board (Bengaluru), under the Ministry of Commerce, for a period of five years.
    • On the superannuation of Subrata Gupta (IAS: 1990: WB) on May 31, 2025 the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries was assigned to Sanjeev Chopra (IAS: 1990: OD) till the appointment of a regular incumbent. Currently, Chopra is Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution.
    • The additional charge of the post of Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) was assigned to  Vir Vikram Yadav (IAS: 1996: OD) till the appointment of a regular incumbent. Currently, he is working as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment of Forest & Climate Change.
    • The Central Deputation of Sanjay Lohia (IAS: 1994: AM) was extended for a period of two years beyond 27.10.2025 i.e. upto 27.10.2027. Currently, he is the Additional Secretary, Ministry of Mines.
    • The Central Deputation of Juhi Verma (IDAS: 2010), Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs, was extended for a period of two years beyond 29.09.2025 i.e. upto 27.09.2027. 
    • Yogendra Singh (IAS: 2013: BH) was appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister for Textiles (Giriraj Singh) for a period of five years.
    • Anurag Prasad (IRS IT: 1991), CVO, Minerals & Metals Trading Corporation Ltd. (MMTC), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre to avail the benefit of promotion.


  • New Delhi (29.05.2025): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Thursday are as follows:
    • Manoj C (IPS: 2011: UT) has been appointed as Director in Election Commission of India, Delhi for a period of five years.
    • Bidyarani Konthoujam (IRS C&IT: 2009) has been appointed as Director in the Election Commission of India, Delhi for a period of five years.
    • Malothu Ramulu Naik (IPS: 1998: BH) has been appointed as Inspector General in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for a period of five years.
