Ranchi (21.05.2025): Whether Anurag Gupta (IPS: 1990: JH) is still Jharkhand DGP or he is retired now, this has become a Tom and Jerry show between the state and the Centre. The state is taking his services but the Union government is not ready to pay his salary. Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly and former CM Babulal Marandi filed a PIL in the Jharkhand High Court making it clear that it will not let go the issue which is listed for hearing in June. It is really beyond comprehension for many who understand the subject that why the state government can’t do without Anurag Gupta and why the central government doesn’t want him to continue.
