FSIB selects new MD & CEO for Central Bank & Union Bank of India

New Delhi (31.05.2025): The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) recommended Asheesh Pandey and Kalyan Kumar for the post of Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Union Bank of India (UBI) and Central Bank of India, respectively. Pandey will replace A Manimekhalai, who is completing his three-year tenure next month while Kumar will succeed M V Rao after his superannuation in July.Pandey, at present, is executive director (ED) in Bank of Maharashtra and Kumar is serving as ED in Punjab National Bank. The appointment of Pandey and Kumar is subject to the approval of Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
