New Delhi (31.05.2025): The Government of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday named Ashok Tiwari (IPS: 1993: HP) as the officiating DGP of the state i.e. Head of Police Force (HoPF) with immediate effect, in the public interest, till further orders. Currently, he is the Director General of State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau, Himachal Pradesh. The government on Wednesday cracked the whip on DGP Atul Verma, ACS home and SP holding them responsible for mishandling the Vimal Negi death case, and assigned the additional charge of DGP to Ashok Tiwari.
