PESB recommended the V K RAMA, ED, CONCOR for the post of Director (Project & Services), Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR). 11 persons were interviewed in the selection meeting. The post has been lying vacant since October 1, 2014 when Harpreet Singh (IRSME:1980) took over as Managing Director, Central Warehousing Corporation. Five internal (CONCOR) candidates appeared for the interview namely; Anurg Mathur, ED, CONCOR; V K Rama, ED, CONCOR; A K Srivastava, ED, CONCOR; Surinder Kumar, GGM, CONCOR; Sanjay Swarup, GGM, CONCOR. Six candidates were from other organisations namely;P K Singh, EDM RVNL; Shyam Lal Gupta, PROJ. DIR., IRCON; S Kalgaonkar, ED, NHPC; D P Sen, GM, GAIL; Rajiv Rajvanshi, IRSE, CH. ENGG., MOR; V K Madhukar, IRSE, CH. ENGG.. Presently enjoying the status of 'Navratna' PSU, Container Corporation of India had become operational from November 1989 taking over the existing network of 7 Integrated Container Depots from the Indian Railways. It introduces itself as an undisputed market leader having the largest network of 62 ICDs/CFSs in India. In addition to providing inland transport by rail for containers, it has also expanded to cover management of Ports, air cargo complexes and establishing cold-chain.
