Senior IPS officer Satish Mathur (IPS:1981:MH) has been appointed as the new police chief of Maharashtra. Currently Mathur serves in the state as Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau. He will replace the outgoing DGP Pravin Dixit (IPS:1976).
