As Indianmandarins had reported on July 26 (web-link below) Jagdip Narayan Singh (IAS:1983:GJ) appointed as Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat. He has replaced the outgoing Chief Secretary, Ganga Ram Aloria (IAS:1981:GJ).
Earlier there were speculations that Aloria might be given a three-month extension beyond July 31 which looks unlikely in the present scenario. Currently he serves as Additional Chief Secretary, (Finance) in the state.
