Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu presented three SAIL executives with the Vigilance Excellence Awards 2017.Chairman SAIL PK Singh was present on the occasion.
The awards, constituted for the first time this year by the Central Vigilance Commission, were distributed during the inaugural function of Vigilance Awareness Week held at Vigyan Bhawan on October 30.
These awards are constituted by Chief Vigilance Commission to promote, encourage and motivate the Chief Vigilance Officers and Organizations involved in various practices of vigilance in order to curb corruption.
The three SAIL executives who won the awards were Deepak Barataria, Executive Director (Vigilance) who received the award for excellence in 'Vigilance Innovation;' and Prashant Kumar, AGM, Vigilance & Vikas Kumar, Sr. Manager, Vigilance, jointly received the award of 'Excellence in Investigation'.
