It is not that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief
Mohan Bhagwat will have only close door meetings with Jamiat Ulama e Hind chief
Arshad Madani and many other senior leaders of the RSS will meet Muslim leaders
and scholars separately but grapevine is abuzz that he would share dais with
him as well very soon. This exercise yielded results post Ayodhya verdict to
let peace prevail in the country. It is learnt that Bhagwat was supposed to participate
in the centenary celebration of Darul Uloom, Deoband in Saharanpur but due to
announcement of by-elections in Uttar Pradesh so the plan could not materialize
but it is not yet shelved. He might share dais with him on some other big
occasion. There had been more than one meeting between Bhagwat
and Madani in the prevailing situation when there was the possibility of
Hindu-Muslim clash in the country.
