RSS chief and JUH chief likely to share dais soon!

It is not that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will have only close door meetings with Jamiat Ulama e Hind chief Arshad Madani and many other senior leaders of the RSS will meet Muslim leaders and scholars separately but grapevine is abuzz that he would share dais with him as well very soon. This exercise yielded results post Ayodhya verdict to let peace prevail in the country.

It is learnt that Bhagwat was supposed to participate in the centenary celebration of Darul Uloom, Deoband in Saharanpur but due to announcement of by-elections in Uttar Pradesh so the plan could not materialize but it is not yet shelved. He might share dais with him on some other big occasion.

There had been more than one meeting between Bhagwat and Madani in the prevailing situation when there was the possibility of Hindu-Muslim clash in the country.

Why did RSS chief meet 70-odd journatists writing for foreign media

It is not just to break the stereotype but expansion of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) too has forced the organization to clarify doubts about the organizations with the international media which was constantly under attack. As besides India, the organization has its presence in over 50 other countries.

The RSS chief’s interaction with 70-odd journalist writing for foreign newspapers, periodical and websites is an attempt to reach out to these scribes to explain objective for which the RSS was formed and how it works and what are its activities throughout the year.

When the BJP was not in power, its leaders too used to defend the RSS on many occasion especially on ideological issues but now they have to defend themselves and RSS’ expansion is at its zenith. The RSS had meetings with journalists in its roaster. Earlier, the RSS chief used to meet like-minded journalists at its Jhandewalan office quite frequently.

Ratan meets Bhagwat: officials turn neutral again

By IndianMandarins 19 Apr 2019

Even before officials in power corridors could shrug off their surprise from the open endorsement of Mukesh Ambani to South Mumbai Congress candidate Milind Deora, they were absolutely flabbergasted by the news of India's doyen of ethical business Ratan N Tata traveling to Nagpur and meeting RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on April 17. He arrived in Nagpur on Tuesday and left the city after meeting the RSS chief on Wednesday.

The meeting, which lasted for as many as two hours at the organization's headquarters, has upset many an applecart. Officials who have been rooting for the Congress Party till now have all of a sudden turned shy of their political stance and reverted to the neutral gear.

The leakage of Ratan's meeting with Mohan Bhagwat was timed well to neutralize the fallout from Mukesh's open support to Milind.

Ratan's latest meeting with Bhagwat at the RSS headquarters was the second - the first being more than two years ago on December 28, 2016.

Last year, in August, both had shared the stage at a function in Mumbai to mark the birth centenary of late RSS leader Nana Palkar. Ratan was the chief guest at that event.

Does RSS want to practise soft Hindutva?

By IndianMandarins 25 Sep 2018

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in his recent discourse took a soft approach on Hindu Rashtra. “No Hindu Rashtra without Muslims,” he argued categorically. This is a significant shift in the traditional view point of RSS and the organisation seems to have taken a moderate view to accommodate Muslims for the first time. Probably this powerful organisation is trying to evolve with changing time. CLICK TO READ RELATED STORY.
