[caption id="attachment_24813" align="alignnone" width="296"]                    File Photo[/caption] The NaMo administration is said to be in the process of deploying nine JS-level UP cadre IAS officers in the Yogi secretariat as part of its 'strategic preparation' for the 2019 national election. The Department of Personnel & Training has reportedly shortlisted the names of officers and sent the list on April 12 to the Cabinet Secretariat.  But the approval is reportedly taking time as the shortlisted officers are yet to give their consent. Of the nine, two are said to have expressed their inability to take up the state assignment for personal reasons. The shortlisted officers, who are currently posted in Cabinet Secretariat, Ministries of Commerce, Human Resource Development, Food, Textiles, Health and Ayush, and UIDAI and MMTC, may be appointed as Secretaries or Principal Secretaries of various departments in the state. The additional reason for the PMO firefighting for the Yogi administration is that so far, despite three big official reshuffles, the CM has been able to appoint just four officers to the state secretariat; most of the key issues at the secretariat are still being handled by officers from the Akhilesh Yadav regime. This has rung an alarm bell in the PMO that believes that the performance of the UP government may cast a longer-than-reality shadow over the 2019 national election.
