New Delhi (23.10.2024): Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra finalised seat sharing formula for Assembly elections wherein the Congress secured the highest 105 seats, Shiv Sena (UBT) 95 seats while the NCP (SP) 84 seats. The remaining four seats will be given to smaller parties of the coalition. In 2024 Lok Sabha polls, the Congress managed to win highest 13 seats, Shiv Sena (UBT) 9 and the NCP (SP) 8. This formed the basis of seat sharing of MVA and the Congress was given the highest number of seats. This seat sharing was finalised by the three parties when senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat met NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray at their respective residences.
