What has happened in Maharashtra, no one would have even imagined. This makes the point very clear that it is really impossible to read minds of the duo – PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah – not only in terms of turn of events in the recent past but from the very time the Bharatiya Janata Party had formed the government for the first time at the Centre in 2014 under Modi. Both the leaders are scrupulously involved in full time politics unlike their opponent and they do everything with élan. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that they eat, drink and sleep politics.

To understand the kind of politics they do, having a look at the recent developments is very pertinent when BJP’s own ally Shiv Sena was busy ranting against the party over the issue of its claim over chief minister’s post in Maharashtra. Looking at the hindsight, it appears that the BJP was working on its plans however it looked as if the BJP was intimidated by the SS and got confined to its cells. But it kept silent and had told its leaders to keep patience and they continued with their plans where no one would have imagined.

The full time politics of the BJP leaders had caught the opposition napping many a times. The BJP has brought election narrative to nationalism from various other issues with its full time strategy with one after another move. There is a genre of politicians involved in making money and is involved in many other such things like being lawyers, builders, businessman, corporate lobbyists and what not but Modi-Shah are fully focused on politics of the country from issues Brue refugees to formation of Maharashtra government. They always keep multiple options as if one does not work the other is ready.

The Modi-Shah duo work 24X7 in tandem with each other for politics in India as abrogating Article 370, Balakot strike, surgical strike, demonatisation, GST implementation, NRC, Citizenship Bill, Law against Triple Talaq and the latest being withdrawal of SPG from Gandhis cannot not be done with half baked measures. Do they have any match in the country at least for now?
