New Delhi (05.10.2024): The government re-appointed RBI Deputy Governor M Rajeshwar Rao for a period of one year ending 08.10.2025.
The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the re-appointment of M Rajeshwar Rao for a period of one year with effect from October 9, 2024, or until further orders.
Rao was appointed RBI Dy Governor in October 2020 for a period of three years. He was elevated as RBI executive director in November 2016. He has exposure to various aspects of RBI's functioning. Previously he held the charge of Risk Monitoring Department.
Kalyani Sethuraman (IRAS: 1994), CVO, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL), Bengaluru, has been entrusted with additional charge of CVO, Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML), Bengaluru for a period of three months.
