Bengaluru (15.07.2026): The Karnataka government on July 14, 2026 gave clean chit and closed the departmental inquiry against three IPS officers in connection with the M Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede. The incident claimed 11 lives and injured more than 50 people on June 4, 2025.Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had suspended then Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) B Dayananda (IPS: 1994: KN), then Additional Commissioner of Police (West) Vikash Kumar Vikash (IPS: 2014: KN) and then Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Division) Shekhar H Tekkannavar (IPS: 2014: KN) holding them responsible for the alleged lapses that led to the tragedy.ALSO READ
