Imphal (11.07.2026): H Gyan Prakash (IAS: 2003: MN) has been appointed Chairman of the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC). The appointment has been made under Article 316 of the Constitution of India. Gyan Prakash will hold office for six years from the date he assumes charge or until he attains the age of 62, whichever is earlier.In accordance with Regulation 5 of the MPSC Regulations, 1972, Gyan Prakash will be deemed to have retired from the Indian Administrative Service from the date he assumes office as the MPSC Chairman. Before his appointment, Gyan Prakash was serving as Commissioner and Secretary in the Education Department, Government of Manipur.

Imphal (11.07.2026): H Gyan Prakash (IAS: 2003: MN) has been appointed Chairman of the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC). The appointment has been made under Article 316 of the Constitution of India. Gyan Prakash will hold office for six years from the date he assumes charge or until he attains the age of 62, whichever is earlier.
In accordance with Regulation 5 of the MPSC Regulations, 1972, Gyan Prakash will be deemed to have retired from the Indian Administrative Service from the date he assumes office as the MPSC Chairman. Before his appointment, Gyan Prakash was serving as Commissioner and Secretary in the Education Department, Government of Manipur.
