Bihar chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh (IAS:1981: BH) and DGP P K Thakur (IPS:1980: BH) will retire together on February 28 this year.
In addition, three more senior officials are also scheduled to retire. They include Ajay V Nayak (IAS:1984: BH), who is the state's chief electoral officer and is scheduled to retire on April 30.
Development commissioner Shishir Sinha (IAS:1982: BH) will retire in July. Sinha also holds the additional charge of principal secretary of the vigilance department.
Shashi Shekhar Sharma (IAS:1985: BH), who is currently the DG of Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development, will retire on August 31.
Further, 14 or so promoted IAS officers will also retire this year. They include Saran DM Harihar Prasad (IAS:2006: BH) and Begusarai DM Mohd Naushad Yusuf.
Among IPS officers, DGs Paras Nath Rai (IPS:1982: BH) and Ravindra Kumar (IPS:1984: BH) are scheduled to retire on January 31 and October 31 this year respectively.
