    • Amrendra Pratap Singh (ISS: 2010) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani in the Ministry of Communications at the level of Director for the period up to 25.10.2028.

  • New Delhi (30.08.2024): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Friday are as follows:
    • Rekha Meena (IPS: 2022: SK) has been transferred from Sikkim cadre to Tamil Nadu cadre on the grounds of her marriage with Vinay Kumar Meena (IAS: 2022: TN).
    • Amit Garg (IPS: 1993: AP), Addl Director, SVP NPA, will continue to hold additional charge of the post of Director, SVP NPA for a further period of three months beyond 31.08.2024.

    • H Krishnanunni (IAS: 2012: TN) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & Information Technology Jitin Prasada in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology at the level of Deputy Secretary for the period of five years.
    • Tarun Kumar Pithode (IAS: 2009: MP) has been as Director in the Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change, Delhi for a period of five years.
    • Dharmender (ISS: 2015) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the National Medical Commission under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years.

  • New Delhi (28.08.2024): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Wednesday are as follows:
    • Rajwinder Singh Bhatti (IPS: 1990: BH) has been appointed as Director General, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for a tenure up to his superannuation on 30.09.2025.
    • Daljit Singh Chaudhary (IPS: 1990: UP) has been appointed as Director General, Border Security Force (BSF) for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on 30.11 .2025.
    • Noorin Bux (IOFS: 2010), Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has been re-designated as Director in the same ministry for a period up to 22.04.2026 i.e. total tenure of five years. She counts her central deputation tenure w.e.f. 23.04.2021.

  • New Delhi (27.08.2024): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Tuesday appointed Satish Kumar (IRMS) to the post of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Railway Board for a period of one year. Currently, he is Member (Traction & Rolling Stock), Railway Board. He replaces the outgoing Chairman & CEO Jaya Verma Sinha (IRTS) who is completing her tenure (on re-employment basis) on 31.08.2024.
    Interestingly, Kumar has been appointed similar way Jaya Verma Sinha was appointed i.e. on re-employment basis post his superannuation date 31.12.2024. All put together, Satish Kumar will attain the retirement age on 31.12.2024 following which he will continue to Chairman & CEO till 31.08.2025 w.e.f. 01.01.2025. 
    It may further be underlined that after handing over the charge Jaya Verma Sinha will assume as Member, in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).
