has reliably learned that Dr. Shilpak Namdeo Ambule (IFS:2002) may be appointed
Private Secretary to External Affairs Minister S Jaishanker. Presently, Dr.
Ambule is the Deputy High Commissioner to Sri Lanka. Previously, he had served
with Jaishanker, when the latter was External Affairs Secretary. Further,
it is speculated that, if not made the PS to the Minister for External Affairs,
he may replace Sanjeev Kumar Singla (IFS:1997) who is serving as Private Secretary
to the PM since July 2014. Reportedly, he could also move the Indian Embassy in
Israel (Tel Aviv) where has was posted earlier also.
