NEW DELHI (02.06.2026): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Tuesday are as follows:-
- Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal (IPS: 1994: TN), Spl DG, BSF, has been repatriated to his parent cadre to take over as Tamil Nadu DGP.
- Tenure of Rajeev Singh Thakur (IAS: 1995: RJ), Adviser, NITI Aayog in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, has been extended for a period of six months beyond 03.06.2026 i.e. up to 03.12.2026.
- Lokhande Prashant Sitaram (IAS: 2001: AGMUT), Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as Chairperson, Central Board of Secondary Education, Ministry of Education.
- Rahul Singh (IAS: 1996: BH), Chairperson, Central Board of Secondary Education, Ministry of Education, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
- Himanshu Gupta (IAS: 2012: AGMUT), Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education under Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, has been prematurely repatriated to parent cadre (Ministry of Home Affairs) with the condition of 'extended cooling off'. He will be eligible for another central deputation after 12.12.2030.
- Varun Bhardwaj (llnfoS: 2008), Director, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, has been appointed to the post of Secretary (Director level), Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi under Department of School Education & Literacy on lateral shift basis.
- Vipul
(IFS:1998), presently Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar, has been
appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
