Will Shah succeed Srivastava as Chairman, CBEC on July 01?

'Indianmandarins' has reliably learnt that Najeeb Shah (IRS C&CE:1979), currently DG, DRI, would be given to succeed Kaushal Srivastava (IRS C&CE:1978) as new Chairman of CBEC (Central Board of Customs & Excise). The incumbent Chairman Kaushal Srivastava will superannuate on June 30 clearing the deck for Shah to be new Chairman on July 01, 2015.
On April 15 'Indianmandarins' had reported that 07 IRS officers were cleared for Member, CBEC namely; Najib Shah (1979), A K Kaushal (1979), V S Krishnan (1979), Ms Neerja Shah (1979), Ms Vanaja N Sarna (1980), Ram Tirath (1980) and Ms Ananya Ray (1980).
Though the buzz will continue doing rounds whether the Government at centre will really like to appoint Shah as new Chairman CBEC?
