As Indianmandarins had anticipated on March 22, 2016 (Weblink below), S M Vijayanand (IAS:1981:KL) has been appointed as new Chief Secretary of Kerala. On April 30 Vijayanand will succeed Pradeep Kumar Mohanty (IAS:1980:KL) who took over on March 01; two months ahead of his scheduled retirement (April 30).
Prior to this Vijayanand served in Govt of India as Secretary, Dept of Panchayati Raj. The ACC had approved his premature repatriation in March 2016 which will come to effect on April 24.
