Vijayanand gets addl charge of Secretary, Rural Development

The additional charge of Secretary, Department of Rural Development has been given to S M Vijayanand (IAS:1981:KL) who is currently serving as Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
Vijayanand will hold the additional charge for the period upto 31 May 2016.
The outgoing Secretary Jugal Kishore Mohapatra (IAS:1978:OR) superannuated today. Reportedly Vijayanand will take (Addl) charge on March 01.
