Lucknow (08.12.2025): Anamika Singh (IAS: 2004: UP) has
opted for voluntary retirement (VRS) reportedly for not being allowed deputation
to the Central Government. She had served as Director in NITI Aayog and held
key administrative positions across Uttar Pradesh. She was appointed Divisional
Commissioner, Bareilly on September 17, 2025. Sources suggest that Singh wanted to go on deputation to the
central government, but did not receive the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from
the UP government. Frustrated by this, she chose VRS, who was scheduled to retire
