New Delhi (13.06.2026): The New Delhi establishment on Friday cleared the empanelment of 33 IPS officers. The list includes three from 1990, 1991 & 1994 batch and thirty from 1995 batch for holding Director General (DG) and DG Equivalent post in Govt of India. This forms the primary pipeline for the next cycle of chiefs across Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) like BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, NSG and other premier central investigating and intelligence organizations like IB, CBI, NIA & RAW.

A total of 33 IPS officers spanning 15 state cadres join the league. In coming months and years many of of them would also get the Apex Scale in Govt of India.

IPS officers getting their longstanding dues are as follows:-
  1. Sudhanshu Sarangi (IPS: 1990: RJ)
  2. Rajeev Krishna (IPS: 1991: UP)- Currently, DGP Uttar Pradesh
  3. Anand Mohan (IPS: 1994: AGMUT)
A comprehensive breakdown from the 1995 batch includes:-
AGMUT Cadre (The Highest Share): The Union Territory cadre secured the largest share in this empanelment round, with 5 senior officers making the cut:
  1. Devesh Chandra Srivastava (IPS: 1995: UT)  
  2. Satish Shriramaji Khandare (IPS: 1995: UT)  
  3. Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal. (IPS: 1995: UT)  
  4. David Lalrinsanga (IPS: 1995: UT)  
  5. Shiv Darshan Singh (IPS: 1995: UT)  
Uttar Pradesh Cadre: Four officers from the Uttar Pradesh grid have achieved DG empanelment:
  1. Amrendra Kumar Sengar (IPS: 1995: UP)  
  2. Anupam Kulshreshtha (IPS: 1995: UP)  
  3. Ashok Kumar Singh (IPS: 1995: UP)    
  4. Vijay Bhatia (IPS: 1995: UP)
Bihar Cadre: Four officers from the Bihar grid have achieved DG empanelment:
  1. Jag Mohan (IPS: 1995: BH)  
  2. Pankaj Kumar Darad (IPS: 1995: BH)  
  3. R. Malarvizhi (IPS: 1995: BH)  
  4. Sushil Mansing Khopde (IPS: 1995: BH)  
Rajasthan & Punjab: Key operational heavyweights from the western border states have cleared the grid:
  1. M.N. Dinesh (IPS: 1995: RJ)  
  2. Biju George Joseph K (IPS: 1995: RJ)  
  3. Amit Prasad (IPS: 1995: PB)  
  4. Kapil Dev (IPS: 1995: PB)  
Assam-Meghalaya: 
  1. A.Y.V. Krishna (IPS: 1995: AM)  
  2. Munna Prasad Gupta (IPS: 1995: AM)  
Madhya Pradesh: 
  1. Meenakshi Sharma (IPS: 1995: MP)  
  2. Yogesh Deshmukh (IPS: 1995: MP)  
Uttarakhand: 
  1. Deepam Seth (IPS: 1995: UD)- Currently, DGP Uttarakhand
Sikkim: 
  1. Vineet Vinayak (IPS: 1995: SK)  
Jharkhand: 
  1. Sanjay A. Lathkar (IPS: 1995: JH)  
Haryana: 
  1. Sandeep Khirwar (IPS: 1995: HY)  
Himachal Pradesh:

While a majority on this roster are cleared for DG/DG-Equivalent postings Biju George Joseph (RJ) have received exclusive clearance for hard DG-rank slots.  

With these 33 IPS officers officially entering the apex central-pool it is expected that a series of lateral shifts in the coming months would come up. Several of these officers currently serving in crucial state executive positions (or on central deputation as ADGs) will now be systematically placed into special DG vacancies or upgraded in-situ within central intelligence and security structures.
