Delhi Sikh Samaj has honored IGP Robin Hibu (IPS:1993), who is currently employed as Joint Commissioner at Rashtrapati Bhavan with its GURU KA LADLA AWARD for his outstanding social services to the distressed and vulnerable NE people in Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab.
In his acceptance speech, Hibu expressed his personal gratitude and also on behalf of the Northeastern people for the kindness and helpful attitude of Sikh Samaj and its various institutions including Gurudwaras for relentlessly helping out NE boys and girls in their time of distress.
He pointed out how, during the Ram Rahim and Jat reservation agitations, several Gurudwaras in Punjab and Haryana extended great help to stranded NE people by providing them with shelter, security, and food.
Hibu also appreciated the help rendered by Sardar Kuldip Chana, who is the Chairman of Punjabi Bagh Crematorium, in cremating free of cost 17 NE dead bodies this year.
