New Delhi (12.04.2023): The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) on Wednesday selected Amarendu Prakash for the post of Chairman, Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL). Currently, he is working as Director in-charge (Bokaro Steel Plant). Altogether nine candidates were interviewed for the post of Chairman. Subject to requisite clearances and ACC approval he will replace Ms Soma Mondal as SAIL Chairman who is retiring on 30.04.2023. He may have perhaps the longest ever term as Chairman as he will attain the superannuation age in September 2030.
