In power corridors grapevine indicates that the Govt of India may nominate two former IAS officers Vinod Rai (Rtd IAS:1972:KL) and R C Bhargawa (Rtd IAS 1956) for Padmashree Award for their outstanding services as civil servants.
Vinod Rai, former Comptroller and Auditor General of India, was once considered India's most powerful bureaucrat of the country may fall in the list of Padamshree.
R C Bhargawa, topper 1956 IAS batch, can also make his space in the awardees for his contribution in Maruti industries, reshaping the auto-mobile sector in sub continent.
