The NaMO administration on Monday effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle at Joint Secretary (JS) and JS equivalent level at Centre. Accordingly;

  1. Ms P Amudha (lAS:1994:TN) appointed as Joint Secretary in Prime Minister's Office, on a lateral shift basis, for the balance period of her five-year central deputation period. Currently, she is serving as Professor, LBSNAA, Mussoorie.
  2. Keshav Chandra (lAS:1995:AGMUT)) appointed as Director, Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for an overall tenure of five years up to 17.12.2022. Chandra replaces Amardeep Singh Bhatia (IAS:1993:NL).
  3. Nitishwar Kumar (lAS:1996:UP) appointed as Member Secretary, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) under the Department of School Education & Literacy, on a lateral shift basis for a combined tenure of seven years up to 10.07.2021. He replaces Sanjay Awasthi (IRS IT:1989). Presently, Nitishwar Kumar is working as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation.
  4. Sudhir Kumar (lAS:1999:AGMUT) appointed as Additional Secretary (JS level), Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) for a combined tenure of seven years up to l6.03.2022. He replaces Ms Archana Varma (IAS:1995:AM) by treating the post akin to Non-CSS.
  5. Sajjan S Yadav (lAS:1995:AGMUT) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Expenditure, on a lateral shift basis for an overall tenure of five years up to 19.08.2022. Presently he is working as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development.
  6. Ms Varsha Joshi (lAS:1995:UT) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying for a tenure of five years vice Mihir Kumar Singh (IAS:1993:BH).
  7. Anupam Mishra (IES:1995) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs for a tenure of five years vice Amit Mehta (IOFS:1987). Mishra’s appointment as Joint Secretary, DMEO, NITI Aayog (order dated 29.05.2020) is cancelled.
  8. Rakesh Mittal (IDES:1995) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence for a tenure of five years vice M Subbarayan (CSS) consequent on his voluntary retirement from service.
  9. Ms Pallavi Agarwal (IRS lT:1991) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development for a tenure of five years vice Sajjan S Yadav (IAS:1995:AGMUT). Her previous appointment as Member Secretary, National Monuments Authority, Ministry of Culture (dated 29.05.2020) was cancelled.
  10. Ms Aparna S. Sharma (CSS) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Fertilizers for a tenure of five years vice Ms Gurveen Sidhu (IA&AS:1995).
  11. Amit Mehta (IOFS:1987) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry on a lateral shift basis for an overall tenure of five years up to 07.01.2023 vice Purushottam Tiwary (IA&AS:1996).  Presently, he is working as Joint Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs.
  12. Saurav Ray (IDES:1994) appointed as Custodian of Enemy Property for India (CEPI) (JS level) O/O CEPI under the Ministry of Home Affairs for a tenure of five years by upgrading the post from DS/Director level to JS level,.
  13. Ms Parama Sen (IA&AS:1994) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Investment & Public Asset Management (DIPAM) for a tenure of five years vice Ms. Anuradha Thakur (lAS:1994:HP)
  14. Ms Nidhi Pandey (IIS:1991) appointed as Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) under the Department of School Education & Literacy for a tenure of five years vice Santosh Kumar Mall (lAS:1997:BH)
  15. Vinayak Garg (IRSEE:1995) appointed as Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti under the Department of School Education & Literacy for a combined tenure of seven years upto 11.09.2023. He replaces Biswajit Kumar Singh (IFS:1989:JK.
  16. Sanjay Awasthi (lRS lT:1989) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation for an overall tenure of five years upto 22.05.2021. He replaces Nitishwar Kumar (lAS:1996:UP).
