Immediately after the abrupt appointment of Rajiv Mehrishi (IAS:1978:RJ) as Union Home Secretary the outgoing officer L C Goyal appointed as CMD, ITPO; a post which had been vacant since January 02 this year vice Ms Rita Menon (Rtd IAS:1975:UP). J S Deepak was holding the additional charge of CMD ITPO since January this year.
Goyal was had taken over as Home Secretary from from Anil Goswami in the month of February this year and had over seventeen months to go in completion of his two years fixed tenure.
