Chandigarh (07.04.2025): In view of growing discontent with Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav (IPS: 1992: PB), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is planning to replace him with Harpreet Sidhu (IPS: 1992: PB) to handle deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab. Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is now focusing on Punjab in view of alleged poor leadership.Yadav is serving Punjab as DGP for around three years. Sidhu is known for his sharp, investigative approach to handle policing in the state, having helmed drugs STF unit earlier too. He is on his second deputation and at present is with ITBP in Guwahati. Before 2017, Sidhu had also served CRPF in Naxalite regions of Chhattisgarh.ALSO READ
