Further, the data that showed Congress making significant inroads by increasing its vote share by 9% and BJP losing 3.3% in cities as against 2010 was promptly removed from the website. According to the data, in district panchayats and taluka panchayats, where BJP faced a rout, it lost 6.21% and 5.36%, respectively. State Election Commissioner Varesh Sinha claimed that the data were removed because they were still being examined.
